The rail supports multiple cabinets, and once it's level and fixed to the wall, there's no need to individually align and level each cabinet. We were able to hang each cabinet in a matter of minutes, but because we had to modify several cabinets, it took most of the week to get all of the wall cabinets in place. In order to fit the cabinet around the pipe, we had to remove an entire rear corner of the cabinet. The cabinet looked a little unstable with a missing corner, but once we got it in place and attached it to the wall and the adjacent cabinet, it ended up being pretty sturdy. The blind upper corner cabinet, made by attaching a panel to a 30-inch cabinet. IKEA offers a diagonal corner cabinet, but I prefer the more streamlined, right-angle look of the blind corner cabinet. IKEA doesn't make a blind corner upper cabinet, so we attached a side panel to a 30-inch cabinet to convert it to a blind corner. The only upper cabinet that we haven't installed yet is the nine-inch cabinet to the left of the range hood. Since IKEA doesn't make a nine-inch cabinet, we'll need to cut a 12-inch cabinet down to nine inches.
The bathrooms in our new bungalow were last tended to in the sixties, we think. The wallpapers in each cover every inch of wall that isn't otherwise tiled or wood paneled, including the ceiling! We are kind of loving all of this - and are in no rush to tear any of it down. What do you think? Keep some or all of the vintage wallpaper? Our favorite is the fish in the half bath.
Doing the washing is probably my least favourite household chore. I think it's because it's so monotonous: Separate clothes, wash them and hang them on the line. It was only recently that I discovered this is not the way everyone does their laundry, and that there is actually quite an art to doing laundry well. I hadn't really given my process a lot of thought until I mentioned that I had trouble keeping my white pillowcases white and people suggested a hot water soak. Someone suggested that I should add vinegar and scented oil to the mix for delicious smelling pillowcases. I thought lint was just part of washing until I found out that you're not supposed to wash your towels with your clothes! Who knew!?! So now I'm on a mission to master the fine art of green clothes washing and I'm collecting tips. If you're using grey water safe detergent you can use your clothes washing water in the garden. You can make your own laundry detergent Cold water washing works for all general washing.

During our Spring Home Cure over at Apartment Therapy, we've been busy making over all of our spaces. One space that really stood out was this simple sun room makeover. Once the random items were cleared out, a few simple pieces from IKEA were brought in, along with a few strips of Flor tiling. Although it can feel pricey to outfit an entire room in America's new favorite carpet tiles, these two strips work out great and give a softer feel to hard floors. Make sure to check out another view of this space here on Flickr. Have you made a recent change in your decor? Snapped a photo of your playroom before it was demolished by your little ones? Put up a fresh coat of paint in the nursery? Make sure to tag your Flickr photos with 'Ohdeedoh' and we'll be watching!

Like hand in glove, the Twin chairs by Italy's Euga Design fit together perfectly. They're a set of two chairs that are designed to fit together, creating a simple cylinder. The seats are made of oak scraps covered in oak veneer and invert into one another to store compactly and beautifully. This isn't exactly like other stacking chairs we've seen before. The key to this design wasn't complete efficiency, but rather a brilliant coupling of two elegant forms into one.
While Elizabeth's apartment may be color-filled elsewhere, we love her glam, primarily gray bedroom. From cool art to crisp bedding, there are some serious wows to this wonderful boudoir.

They win our regional first place at AT: Los Angeles and now go on to the finals where they could win the whole thing.
